What can you expect from the Your Business Selfie (YBS) program?
The YBS process is designed to lead you through each of the major areas of your business, from values clarification to marketing to finances to action planning. The workbook you will download in Module 1 contains everything you need to take a closer look at where you are now and where you want to go.
By the time you complete the assessment, you’ll have a better understanding of three things:
- What motivates you
- Which aspects of your business you want to grow and which you want to decrease
- What opportunities exist for more focus, productivity, and profitability
In addition to the Assessment Worksheets, there are also additional tools included in the workbook that expand on certain elements of the assessment. They are optional, but you are encouraged to make time to review and complete them, as they will provide deeper insights than the assessment alone.
Within any activity or worksheet, your answers should reflect your thoughts, activities, and truth today; understand that as you reflect on this process and revisit your responses later, some of those answers might evolve and take you in new or more focused directions. There are no right or wrong, good or bad answers; if you get stuck or don’t know, answer as best you can and move on (this is a “no judgment” zone!). “I don’t know,” “N/A,” and “Haven’t done this yet” are all legitimate answers. Each one of those types of answers tells you something important about gaps or opportunities in your strategy. Since this document is yours to keep, see it as dynamic. It’s meant to be updated and referred to as you progress in your business.
And finally, while you have full access to YBS, take advantage of the private Discussion Forum for users of this program. It’s an opportunity to share information and resources, ask questions, and get feedback on the activities you’re doing as part of YBS. Who knows, you might meet just the right person to answer a critical question or fill an important need!
